$ISME Staking Is Here!

We’re excited to announce the official launch of the $ISME staking page, through which the $ISME holders can now actively participate in the Root Protocol ecosystem by staking their tokens, reaping a multitude of benefits, and, most importantly, securing this decentralized network.

Stake $ISME, Build Root

You can now head over to the Root Protocol staking page and unlock the power of your $ISME. By locking up your tokens, you gain the ability to:

  • Earn Rewards: Stake your $ISME and automatically accumulate additional ISME tokens, a fantastic way to generate income without actively trading the market.
  • Secure the Network: Staking contributes to the overall health and security of the Root Protocol network. Your participation will strengthen the system and build a more robust and reliable value network for everyone.
  • Govern the Future: In the future, staked $ISME tokens will grant holders voting rights within the ISME Governance Committee. This committee will significantly influence the project’s direction, giving you a direct say in shaping the future of Root Protocol.

Here’s How to Get Started:

  1. Please make sure you own $ISME tokens.
  2. Visit the Root Protocol website and navigate to the staking section.

3. Carefully review the staking terms and the real-time staking parameters.

4. Connect your compatible wallet and select the amount of $ISME you’d like to stake.

5. Start earning and contributing.

6. You can also stake it when you claim your $ISME tokens. Visit the Claim page and simply click Claim and Stake.

7. You can always unstake it anytime you want.

Important Note: The official $ISME Smart Contract address is: 0x87c22db324b8b0637c8f09d2670ae7777651dbb8.

Always double-check the address before interacting with any smart contract to ensure your safety.

Why Stake $ISME?

Staking is more than just a concept within the crypto space. It’s a way for projects like Root Protocol to reward and engage token holders, building a healthy community and technical network. By staking your $ISME, you’re not just securing your own investment, but also contributing to a more secure and prosperous ecosystem for everyone.

One of the main reasons you stake the Root Protocol’s native tokens is to contribute to the security and stability of the network, therefore enhancing the value of this project and the native token. It also allows users to earn passive income without actively trading or speculating in the market. Finally and most importantly, the $ISME token stakers will, in the future, be selected into the ISME Governance Committee, which will hold the ultimate executive power over the future of this project. All of the benefits mentioned do not require your further action.

$ISME Utilities and Value Capture

$ISME tokens are utility tokens that are native to Root Protocol. They are designed to provide multiple accesses to a particular set of products or services within Root Protocol.

The utilities of $ISME are not static. As we develop the Root Protocol, we envision the use cases and utilities will grow to accommodate a more diverse user base. Currently, $ISME Token utilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Voting/Governance: First and foremost, $ISME tokens serve as the governance token, allowing token holders to vote on current and future Root Protocol development decisions.
  2. Paying Fees: As Root Protocol evolves, we gradually roll out Root Wallet, our Rollup chain, SDK, and many other fee-charging services. $ISME, as the utility tokens, can be used to pay transaction or service fees for these services and products.
  3. Staking: In our staking mechanisms, users lock up their tokens to participate in network security or to gain additional rewards.
  4. Reward/Bounty: $ISME can reward users for specific actions, such as contributing to the ecosystem, referring others, or debugging the services.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF $ISME STAKING SERVICE‍

RISK NOTIFICATION REGARDING STAKING SERVICE

Crypto Assets are a high-risk asset class. The risks associated with Crypto Assets and the Staking Service highlighted below do not cover all possible risks associated with Crypto Assets. In addition to other risks, it is likely that not all the risks related to Crypto Assets and the Staking Service have yet been seen or predicted.‍

The primary risks associated with Crypto Assets and the Staking Service include:

i) Market Risk — Trading crypto assets is risky because the value of crypto assets changes rapidly, and the value of a crypto asset may rise and/or fall or permanently lose its value. Additionally, Crypto Assets are traded 24 hours a day, seven days a week, making it challenging to monitor the markets continuously;

ii) Liquidity Risk — Crypto Assets may have low liquidity, which can make trading Crypto Assets difficult when desired or even prevent trading altogether;

iii) Security Risk — Hacking attempts targeting Crypto Assets or their blockchain and/or password phishing attempts may lead to the loss of Crypto Assets if successful;

iv) Blockchain Risk — Transactions made on the blockchain are generally irreversible, so blockchain technology inherently carries the risk of errors and delays, which can lead to the permanent loss of Crypto Assets or delayed transfers;

v) Lock-in Risk — Staking Service involves locking Crypto Assets directly on the blockchain. Therefore, there is a risk: if a failure or malicious activity occurs during the validation process, the staked crypto assets may decrease in value and amount of the Staking;

vi) Third-Party Risk — If the Subcontractor or any other party participating in the Staking Service or crypto markets goes bankrupt or becomes insolvent or makes an error in its operations, there is a risk that Crypto Assets may be lost and/or their recovery may be significantly delayed;

vii) Legislative Risk — Different jurisdictions have different approaches to Crypto Assets, so changes in legislation may have a negative impact on Crypto Assets and/or their value; and

viii) Tax Risk — Tax issues related to Crypto Assets are largely open and not extensively regulated by law.

Due to the inherent risks associated with Crypto Assets and the Staking Service, using the Staking Service entails a significant risk that the Customer may lose a substantial portion of the capital subject to the Staking or even the entire capital subject to the Staking and associated Rewards.

By using the Staking Service, the Customer acknowledges and accepts the risks associated with using the Staking Service and Crypto Assets in general.

With $ISME staking now live, we believe we’re entering a new era of community engagement and shared growth.

Now stake your tokens, secure the network, earn rewards, and become a vital part of the Root Protocol future!
